Episode 57- “Coaches Corner”

07 Oct 2011 / 1 Comment / in Coaching, Featured, News, Podcasts/by mikedarter

In this episode, Gene and Mike talk about Gene’s latest experience coaching at the Cadet Worlds in Kiev, in relation to coaching. Ramon Hernandez also joins in and the discussion is about the development of a professional judo coaches association. Gene wrote up an abstract after the Cadet Worlds, titled “Dimensions of Play: A Conceptual Framework for Coaching Judo” which you can read here. Ramon Hernandez was interviewed in Episode 55- “Kindergarten Sensei”.

The discussion lead to the idea of the development of a site that would offer courses to coaches in various areas. Training, competition, coaching, management, and liability to name a few. If you have any interest in this, please comment below or email us.
